About Carrie Malkmus, Nutritionist

Our staff is here to meet your needs, ease your mind, and help you live a life of full health.

Carrie Malkmus earned her master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2001. She became a Certified LEAP Therapist after being diagnosed with Lyme disease and discovering first-hand how food sensitivities can inhibit the healing process and symptom management. Her passion is to help others with their nutritional needs to overcome food sensitivities, gut health issues, and gain optimal health.  Her love for functional medicine brought her to Forum Health for not only her own healing journey, but to help others along the way.  When she is not in the office, she is busy raising five children and supporting her husband with the family business. She enjoys stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, weight training, yoga, relaxing in the sauna, and researching functional nutrition topics.
