Chris D Harris, MD, FACS is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine and Urology. He has the rare combination of over 30 years experience in traditional medicine combined with the latest techniques in integrative and functional medicine. He is an expert in all aspects of male and female sexual health, including bioidentical hormone replacement, total hormone balancing, ED, and pelvic health.
Dr Harris is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine. He has been a practicing medical doctor since 1990. His training includes graduation from University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, a 5-year residency in Surgery and Urology where he was Chief Resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. After training, he joined a private practice in Knoxville becoming Board Certified in Urology in 1992 as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. During his years as a urologist, he brought the latest surgical and medical innovations to his male and female patients.
In 2016, while still practicing medicine full time, he began a 2-year University of Arizona Fellowship in Integrative Medicine. He graduated in 2018 and became Board Certified in Integrative Medicine in 2019. He was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville in 2020.
In 2019, after practicing over 29 years as a Board-Certified Urologist, he began dedicating his practice full time to integrative and functional Medicine. He has the rare combination of over 30 years practice experience in traditional medicine now combined with the latest techniques in integrative and functional medicine. He is an expert in all aspects of male and female sexual health from the latest technological advancements to integrating lifestyle and functional testing. He has a special interest in sexual medicine for males and females including bioidentical hormone replacement, total hormone balancing, ED, and pelvic health.
Dr Harris has been on his own healing journey by overcoming rectal cancer which was found on a screening examination during the prime of his career. His experience of becoming a patient undergoing multiple surgeries and treatments has only deepened his identity as a healer. He has a strong and heartfelt compassion for what his patients are experiencing. He sees everyone as whole and innately healthy. He believes that by employing the latest cutting-edge techniques in integrative and functional medicine anyone can regain and grow into their own unique wholeness. Dr Harris enjoys many aspects of life outside his passion for practicing medicine. He loves travel, reading, gardening, yoga, and exercising. He has been married for over 28 years and has 4 beautiful adult children. He has no grandchildren yet, but his 3 Border Collies keep him entertained.
