I was diagnosed with Lyme in 2017. Like most living with Lyme, my diagnosis was delayed which took an extreme toll on my body. Although my body grew weary, it was ever important that I kept in mind that my journey to a treatment and a cure was not going to be a sprint but rather a marathon. I learned that in order to restore my optimal health and wellness potential, I would need to have a wide focus on eliminating infection, reducing inflammation while supporting my immune system.
As you begin your journey to wellness, remember that this healing comes in waves. On some days you will feel as if you are drowning, and on other days you will feel as if you are floating. On some days you will feel broken, and on other days you will feel renewed. On all days – be patient with yourself – and know that you are not alone.
